Mace Construct will continue trading under its existing name until the New Year before adopting the name Forco, the contractor has said. The change follows the separation of Mace Construct and Mace Consult into two businesses in March, under an agreement that Mace Consult would retain the Mace brand.
The contractor described Forco as “short, impactful and easy to pronounce.” It said the new name would be introduced alongside a new corporate strategy and productivity targets running through to 2030.
Mark Reynolds, Executive Chair, said Mace Construct—soon to be Forco—had spent 35 years raising standards and helping to drive the industry forward. He said the new name represented a commitment to being the UK’s most forward-thinking contractor and its most productive by 2030.
Reynolds added that the company’s culture, values and people would not change with the brand. Clients could expect the same teams, the same commitment to delivery and the same drive to create places and infrastructure that last, he said.
The announcement sets out a planned name change and a strategy timetable, but does not provide details of the productivity targets or the measures intended to meet them. Mace Construct will retain its current identity until the transition takes effect after the New Year.
